Electric Power Transformer Simulation Demo

The application displays 3D model of an electric power transformer. It simulates temperature distribution on surface of external winding during various times of the day

This demo can be easily extended to a production grade application for transformer analysis and simulation. Geometry of different type of transformers can be imported/exported via Data Exchange functionality of KernelCAD from various CAD formats, which are often available from transformer manufacturers because at present time CAD modelling is nearly always a step of manufacturing process.

In addition to temperature distribution other process parameters like moisture content, coolant flow, electromagnetic field can be visualised, simulated and animated in 3D thus taking into consideration critical effects of actual geometry of the system.
