Enterprise License

Enterprise License

An Enterprise License is used for whole company instead of being assigned to a single computer. Normally Enterprise License is installed on a server.

Adding Reference to an Enterprise License

To add reference to the license file on a user computer:

  • Obtain location of the license from your Network Administrator
  • Open Licensing Dialog from Start > Programs > DInsight > KernelCAD 2.1 > KernelCAD Enterprise > Licensing.
  • Enter path of the license file relative to the local machine into the edit box.
    Press OK.

As the result DEMO word should disappear form the KernelCAD Enterprise > About dialog.

Installation of an Enterprise License

Enterprise license is normally installed on a file server and can be used by unlimited
number of users on the local network.

1. Install KernelCAD Enterprise product on the server. The destination folder selected
on the step 2 must be a shared folder. Avoid using subfolders of special system folders
like Program Files as the target.

2. Save text of the Enterprise License received form DInsight as KerCADe.lic file in the
installation folder KernelCAD_2_1

3. Notify all users about location of the license file. See previous section above. If, for example, KernelCAD was installed on the server to a shared folder, which was mapped locally as P drive than the path entered on the local machine must contain:
P:\DInsight\KerneLCAD_2_1\KerCADe.lic.
If the license was installed on a peer computer the license path can look like: \\John\Shared\DInsight\KerneLCAD_2_1\KerCADe.lic
