Installation...

1. After downloading self-extracting executable, run the executable to extract setup files. Select a temporary directory to extract to.

2. If the installation does not start automatically, run extracted Setup.exe for an easy installation. There is no need to reboot.

3. Optional: To save space, remove temporary extracted files.

It is recommended to keep the downloaded self-extracting executable to be able to revert to the update in case of a bad release.

Installation of a shared license

Shared (Enterprise) license can be used by unlimited number of users on the local network. It is normally installed on a file server.

1. Install KernelCAD Enterprise on the server by repeating steps 1-3 from the standard installation above. The destination folder selected on the step 2 must be a shared folder. Avoid using subfolders of special system folders like “Program Files” as the target.

If you already have license go to the step 4.

2. From the Start Menu select Programs > DInsight > KernelCAD 2.1 > KernelCAD Enterprise > Licensing. Press “Create Request” button. In the appeared dialog press OK button. The software should open License Request Form on DInsight web site. If it did not happen automatically select
contents of the edit box on the last dialog and paste it into edit box on the top of
http://www.dynoinsight.com/LicRequest.aspx page.

3. If you have already made the payment or do not wish to use your credit card choose "I will use another payment option". Fill the form and press Submit. When payment is processed DInsight will send you a license.

4. Save text of the Enterprise License received form DInsight as KerCADe.lic file in the installation folder KernelCAD_2_1

5. To add reference to the license file on a user computer open Licensing Dialog from Start > Programs > DInsight > KernelCAD 2.1 > KernelCAD Enterprise > Licensing. Enter path of the license file relative to the local machine into the edit box. Press OK. “DEMO” word should disappear form the KernelCAD Enterprise > “About…” dialog.

If, for example, KernelCAD was installed on the server to a shared folder,
which was mapped locally as P drive than the path entered on the local machine must contain:
“P:\DInsight\KerneLCAD_2_1\KerCADe.lic”.

If the license was installed on a peer computer the license path can look like:
“\\John\Shared\DInsight\KerneLCAD_2_1\KerCADe.lic”
