Licensing Model
KernelCAD licensing is based on principle of "Developer Pays". It means
that the license to use KernelCAD is required only at the application development stage.
Once the application is compiled it will run forever on any computer without
license checks.
The
standard
license is assigned to a specific computer, although the license can be transferred to another
computer. Identification of the computer is
part of the licensing procedure. The transfer procedure involves registration of the transfer with DInsight.
Developers
who are not involved directly in dealing with KernelCAD do
not need a license even if the application uses KernelCAD.
If more than five licenses are needed it is more cost effective to purchase a Shared License.
Shared (Enterprise) License is not tied to a specific computer and can be used by unlimited number of users on
the local network. Contact us for a quote.
Any purchased or upgraded product includes twelve months of support. The price of
support renewal is same price as an upgrade to the latest version of the product
