KernelCAD licensing is based on principle "Developer Pays". It means
that license to use KernelCAD is required only on application development stage.
Once application is compiled it will run forever on any computer without any
license checks.Standard
license is assigned to a specific computer. Identification of the computer is
part of the licensing procedure. License can be transferred to another computer.
The transfer procedure involves registration of the transfer with DInsight. Developers
who are not involved directly in dealing with KernelCAD related functionality do
not need a license even if the application uses KernelCAD.
If more than five licenses are needed it is more cost effective to purchase a Shared License.
Shared (Enterprise) License is not tied to a specific computer and can be used by unlimited number of users on
