1) Is it possible to make a circular pattern of a section ? For example, I create 1 gear tooth, and then replicate it n times about the axis of rotation ? Right now, I create all the required teeth one by one and add them to the model - not very efficient. Using a circular pattern would be much faster.

Yes. In KC it called symmetries. (Arrays in "normal" CAD)
To see it working have a look at the Symmetry sample in start menu > KC > Sample Explorer
- Make sure the Axial radio button is on in New Symmetry group at the bottom and press Add there
- A new copy of the object and its child will appear
- Turn on "Show" check box on the top. This will show the axis around which new instances are arranged
- Try "Enable" and "Include children" check boxes
